BioOfficially, Renee Montoya is a former homicide detective in the Gotham City Police Department, now a private security consultant for Kane Industries.
Not so officially -- unbeknownst to anyone but a few close friends -- she's a costumed vigilante (though, you know, she really hates that word), operating as The Question. She's not to sure about this, as a life's mission, but the former holder of that alias, the late Vic "Charlie" Sage, was the best friend she ever had. Plus, Batwoman keeps encouraging her.

theatrical_muse community. Renee is a character who has appeared in various DC comics titles over the past decade. Most notably, she was a major character in Gotham Central, and in the year-long crossover 52. I'm playing Renee shortly after the end of 52, adjusting with current canon as appropriate.
